The Missouri Gold Rush High School Skills Camp is a program that takes the elements and skills of the “Outdoor” (10v10) game of lacrosse and enhances them in a modified indoor “Box” lacrosse setting.
Players will be coached on the skills necessary to excel at the “Outdoor” (10v10) lacrosse game while reaping the speed, and confidence-boosting benefits from the indoor “Box” lacrosse style environment. Box lacrosse uses a smaller playing area than the outdoor game. The limited playing space of Box lacrosse requires players to make faster decisions and become confident in using their skills in tight spaces. The rules for Box style lacrosse do differ from the outdoor version commonly played during the spring season. The goal of this camp is to take the
speed and decision making acquired from playing the faster-paced Box style game of lacrosse and translate that speed and decision making to the skillset needed to excel at the Outdoor game.
